Prudent Diets Linked to Lower Breast Cancer Risk
A recent study shows that a diet that is full of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can lower the breast cancer risk in African American women. A study of 50,000 African American women was done and it found that thinner and younger women who ate generally prudent diets were less at risk than those who ate more of a western diet. Veterans Up and Running
Veterans Up and Running is an organization that helps the homeless Veteran population in Boston, MA. Through team structured runs, it helps the Veterans with motivation, self improvement, and gets them back on a path toward employment.
Veterans Up and Running is run by a husband and wife team, Shannon and Robyn Varney. They have a love for running and helping out their community. In order to keep Veterans Up and Running going they need grants for scholarships to help with the Veterans’ educational development.
